GLOBAL PANDEMIC – PREPAREDNESS

I have been inspired, as we all have been, by the courage and resilience of the frontline workers around the world. With considerable risk to themselves, and often lack of protective equipment, they still continue to show up every day to save lives – they are the best of us. This pandemic has shown us it does not discriminate, between rich or poor, young or old, or ethnicity. It has spread fear around the world, as it is clear, governments were not prepared to protect us. We as citizens, need to become more proactive in making sure our elected officials hear our voices, and budget much more of our tax dollars on medical and pandemic research.

It is heartwarming to see so many acts of kindness and patience from everyday heroes. Small kindnesses and courtesies are more precious than ever. Let us seek to see the best in each other. Reach out and touch someone “virtually”.
